David Garza sentenced to life in prison

He's going away for life.

That's the sentence for David Garza who stabbed and robbed an Alpine man.

The 30 year old is from San Antonio.

He plead no contest to charges of aggravated robbery.

Police say Garza was hitchhiking when he was picked up by Billy Massie.

Garza stabbed Massie eleven times, and stole his S-U-V.

Massie survived.

Odessa Police eventually caught Garza after a high speed chase.

Turns out he was a wanted man, Garza is suspected of murdering his wife in San Antonio.

His wrecked car was found in Jeff Davis County.
