A 15-year old girl is safe at home today all because of a program called Project Lifesaver.
On Thursday night, the Ector County Sheriff's Office was notified that a teen was missing.
Officials say the girl has down syndrome.
But luckily, she was wearing a special bracelet that emits a signal.
Called Project Lifesaver, that bracelet lets law enforcement track down a missing person.
It took the officers 6 minutes to locate the child.
She was discovered unharmed in a vacant field about 3-blocks south of her home in West Odessa.
Project Lifesaver is operated by the Ector County Sheriff's Office.
