Police chase in Odessa ends in Midland

One person is under arrest after leading police on a high speed chase.

Law enforcement agencies from Midland and Odessa were called out to help after the driver of a black stolen Z -28 Camaro would not stop for police.

It all began around 8-30 Sunday evening in Odessa at Fifth and Jefferson, the driver crossed the county line where Midland police picked up the chase.

The pursuit ended half a mile west of the Loop 250 on Highway 80, but the driver refused to get out of the car.

Midland Police officers fired non lethal rounds to the windshield of the car in an effort to get the man to come out, ultimately they had to drag him out of the car and then handcuff him.

Charges are pending.
