Routine traffic stop turns into Police chase

A routine traffic stop turns into a chase in Midland.

Police attempted to pull over a car last night, but the driver took off.

He made it 2 blocks before running into a street light in a church parking lot at Lamesa and Cherry street.

But the driver then jumped out of the car and took off on foot.

Police searched the area for the suspect, he was found in a home on Lee Street and arrested.

One of the other passengers in the car was also arrested for prior charges, the other passenger was released.

Police say narcotics were found in the car.
