Midland Christian focused on keeping momentum all game

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Midland Christian is coming off a very close win in a game they almost let slip away. The Mustangs had a 21 point lead at half, but Wall did not let up taking it down to the last seconds. Midland Christian came out on top 35-34 in a nerve-racking win. Coach Greg McClendon believes a key factor in being successful in these games is carrying the momentum all four quarters.

"Momentum is a precious thing. If you have it you better hang on for dear life and squeeze and not let it get away. It's hard to get back. It's time to start putting four quarters of football together and we're going to have to start to play physical. It'll be another physical tough game," said McClendon.

The undefeated Mustangs will have a big test Friday as they take on Monahans on the road. That game is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m.
