MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The Midland High Bulldogs are coming off a tough loss to El Paso Franklin losing 63-42. In each of Midland High's three games, the Bulldogs have had slow starts which is something MHS knows they need to change before district play. Head coach Tim Anuszkiewicz says they're still working on completing a full game where they all play together. With district play a few weeks away these next couple weeks are important in fixing the little things.

"I'd love to stand here and say we're 3-0 and everything is rolling and it's great but this is a process getting to district play and we've got this week and next week to get better and correct some things plus an open week. So these aren't the games we're going to be judged in in the long run. Our goal is to get in the district and have an opportunity to win the district championship. I think in areas we're developing as a good football team. We just got to do it faster now with two weeks to go," said Anuszkiewicz.

The Bulldogs will travel to rival Abilene High on Friday and that game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
