ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The UTPB Falcons are coming off a close game with Northern Michigan over the weekend. The Falcons fell short 27-22 in once again a second half comeback but time ran out to finish.

UTPB out-scored Northern Michigan 15-7 in the final 22 minutes on Saturday. Head coach Justin Carrigan thinks his team played well, but has to stay locked in from the very first snap to the last.

"Main thing is consistency. We need to figure out how to be more consistent in our operations and executions. Little things pay attention to detail. We show flashes of being able to move the ball and being an explosive team and then we lock up at times and lose focus and we got to clean that up," said Carrigan.

The Falcons have their home opener on Saturday against Midwestern State and kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. This will be the conference opener for both teams.
