PERMIAN BASIN, TX (KWES) - ExxonMobil has signed a letter of intent to support the proposed Permian Highway Pipeline Project.

The letter states that the ExxonMobil subsidiary XTO Energy can contract for up to 450,000 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) of capacity on the pipeline.

"We are very pleased to have an industry leader like ExxonMobil support our project," said Sital Mody, President of Kinder Morgan Natural Gas Midstream.

The project will provide an outlet for increased natural gas production from the Permian Basin to growing market areas near the Texas Gulf Coast. The pipeline is expected to be in service late 2020.

Kinder Morgan Texas Pipeline LLC will build and operate the pipeline. KMTP and EagleClaw Midstream Ventures, LLC, are the initial partners on the project.

KMTP and EagleClaw will be hosting an open season for capacity on the PHP Project beginning on August 10.

Interested parties should submit their written request to Dave Grisko, vice president of business development for Kinder Morgan's Natural Gas Midstream group, at david_grisko@kindermorgan.com or (713) 369-9870.
