MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - A man is dead following a hit-and-run collision on Highway 191 early Friday morning.

Efrain Munguia, 46, was found deceased upon arrival by Midland Police Department officers.

Investigators believe that a black newer model Ford F150 or Lincoln Mark LT pickup had been traveling east in the westbound lanes of 191. The truck then likely turned into the center median and stopped, facing south in the eastbound lanes.

Munguia, driving a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle, had been traveling eastbound in the outside lane of 191. He then struck the right rear quarter panel of the truck.

The pickup truck driver fled the scene eastbound, exiting off at FM 1788. The driver is reportedly a heavy-set male, measuring around 5'11" and wearing jeans and a brightly-color shirt.

If you have any information on the driver, witnessed this event, or see a vehicle with damage to the right, rear quarter panel area you are asked to contact the police. The investigation is still underway.
