Odessa Convention and Visitors Bureau and the University of Texas at the Permian Basin partnered to host "Meet the Falcons" event.
This free event provided the community with an opportunity to meet UTPB players and coaches.
The Falcons are gearing up for their third season in program history, with plenty of excitement.
"There's a little of buzz around town period. I don't think its just us. I think there's a buzz around the community about UTPB and about football. It's year three you know I know the expectations are a little higher than maybe the last couple years and the athletes are excited that's what I like," said UTPB athletics director Scott Farmer.
The first game of the season is September first at Texas Southern.
"This definitely gets it going. It gets the juices flowing It's official. It's a fun kickoff to the season," said UTPB head coach Justin Carrigan.
