ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The City of Odessa has received its sales tax check for the month of August.
This month's revenue totaled $6,377,123.06. The Odessa Development Corporation will receive $1,275,424.77 of this amount.
The other $5,101,699.06 will go to the City of Odessa.
Odessa saw a 34.59 percent increase compared to August 2017, pulling $1,311,255.51 over last year.

The year-to-date total revenue for the 2017-18 fiscal year is up $19,480,430.27 compared to the budget. This comes to a 69.06 percent increase.
Compared to the previous fiscal year, the sales tax revenue is up 46.11 percent or $15,049,735.58.
For the current fiscal year the City of Odessa has budgeted $30,765,079.
