MARFA, TX (KWES) - The Marfa Shorthorns return to the gridiron this season with hopes of returning to the playoffs after not making it the last two seasons.
Second year head coach Alturo Alferez knows this team is hungry to get into the post season especially because last season his squad finished 6-3, missing out on a post season run by one game.
In one word, Alferez described his team as tough both physically and mentally. He believes this squad has what it takes and could exceed expectations. The Shorthorns first game is August 31st against Sierra Blanca.
