ODESSA, TX (KWES) - UPDATE 1:31 p.m. 8/9
Javier Jesus Martinez, 32, has been charged with Aggravated Assault Family Violence. Other charges are still pending.
The victim has been treated and was released from Medical Center Hospital.
Investigation is still underway.

Authorities are responding to a shots fired call out of West Odessa.
Ector County Sheriff's Office and DPS responded to the disturbance call. The incident was reportedly a family violence situation between a male and a female inside the residence. The male subject reportedly armed himself and discharged a firearm in the area. He has since been taken into custody.
A female subject across the street unrelated to the dispute was reportedly shot in the shoulder. She has been taken to the Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred around 9:15a.m. at 7100 block of West Venita.
Authorities are still investigating but no other injuries have been reported. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
