FORT STOCKTON, TX (KWES) - Fort Stockton brought old friends together at their Reunion Festival Saturday.

The event hosted five class reunions from Fort Stockton High School, but organizers said the event was made inclusive for the whole community.

"We're trying to bring something new to our community, we have several class reunions and all ages are welcome," Remie Ramos, Economic Development Manager, said.

This was the first Fort Stockton Reunion Festival and Ramos said they expected 15,000 to 18,000 people.

Guest got to enjoy live music, family friendly fun and diverse cuisine, all from more than a dozen vendors across West Texas.

Not only did the festival bring former classmates together, it was also a boost for the city's economy.

"When hotels are full, and restaurants are full during the day, it has a great economic impact," Ramos said.
