The Midland High lacrosse team is slowly starting to make a name for themselves and the sport of lacrosse around West Texas. After a great season this year, making it to the semifinals eight Bulldogs signed to continue to play at the next level. Two of them are twin brothers Raymond and John Mee who are headed off to play lacrosse at Texas A&M.
"When we both decided on A&M and then the opportunity for lacrosse came up, we just thought it'd be awesome to keep playing together," said Raymond.
"I'm super excited to play at A&M and to do it with my brother is just kind of a bonus," said John.
Raymond picked up a lacrosse stick first out of the two, but it didn't take him long to convince his brother to join him.
"He convinced me. It took a little work but he convinced to try out. Once I figured out I was better at lacrosse than tennis I decided that's the way I was going to go," said John.
As brothers on the field, Raymond and John have good chemistry with a little sibling rivalry.
"It's also like a motivator too because you don't want to be doing like the worst job in the household so that brings a little bit of competition and sibling rivalry," said Raymond.
While Texas A&M's team may be a club sport, the competition will be at high competitive level. The two said they will play teams from all over the country.
