BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - The City of Big Spring has authorized the seal coating of streets.
The city hopes that this coating will help extend road life and provide better protection to the road.
Coating began July 11 with the Roy Anderson parking lot, while Lancaster street from 4th to Ryon was affected on July 12.
Those traveling Melrose, Belvedere, Crestline and Coronado should watch out on Friday. Drivers should also beware South Scurry Street from 1st 18th Street on Saturday.
Finally, the coating should be finished on Sunday with crews working Main Street from 1st to 18th Street as well as the Heritage Museum parking lot.
The city is asking citizens to move vehicles from the roadway so that the project can be completed. Any vehicles which are left out in the roadway will be towed away at the owner's expense.
