MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

The Midland City Council expects the 2019 budget to assist the growing city.

Budget documents from the 2019 workshop show an increase from $112 million to $128 million.

The city council believes that this will help ease the expected increase of 4,000 people in the city this year.

According to budget documents, the funding will be spent on street improvements, traffic control operations, city personnel and capital projects.
