WARD COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

Recently installed traffic signals at the intersection of Business Interstate 20 and Loop 464 are expected to be activated Monday, July 16, after the system is tied in with the railroad signals to provide coordination between the railroad and the traffic signals. The intersection serves both Monahans and Thorntonville.

In addition to the traffic signal, a left turn lane was added in both directions on Business Interstate 20, which is also known locally as Sealy Avenue.

Willis Electric of Abilene won the job with a low bid of $562,624.
