------

The Texas Department of Transportation stated the major accident on eastbound I-20 near 1788 in Midland is now a crime scene since the driver of a semi fled the scene.

Closures are expected to take longer than first reported as TxDOT has closed I-20 off at East Loop 338 in Ector County.

They are working to relieve the traffic stuck on I-20 between FM 1788 and Loop 338.

Our reporter on the scene said it appeared to be a three-vehicle accident involving two semis and a passenger vehicle, but official details are yet to be released.
