MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Former NFL player and Midland Lee standout Cedric Benson hosted a football camp on Saturday at Lee High School.
Benson led the Rebels to three straight state titles, then went on to play at UT and later eight years in the NFL.
Benson said it was important to him that the camp be accessible to anyone who wanted to and he was pleased with the turnout.
He wore a maroon number 32 Midland Lee jersey.
When asked how it felt to put that jersey back on he said,"It's always good, a little eerie to reflect on your childhood. Those are all the greatest times of our lives, I guess for most of us."
