Odessa man arrested after assaulting, choking wife

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Odessa Police arrested Bryan Indalecio Casas-Islas, 23, for Assault by Strangulation (Family Violence) “3rd Degree Felony” early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to West 15th Street in reference to a domestic disturbance and upon arrival, found a 25-year-old female and her husband, identified as Casas-Islas.

According to police, Casas-Islas got into an argument with his wife, grabbed her by the neck and threw her on the bed.

He then pushed her against the wall before grabbing her by the neck, throwing her onto the bed a second time and choking her to the point where she could not breathe.

The wife suffered from injuries on the back of her head due to the assault.

Casas-Islas was charged and arrested accordingly.

    The Big Spring Police Department and Howard County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Department of Public Safety and Howard County District Attorney’s Office, have just completed an operation targeting online sexual predators.  During this operation, undercover investigative personnel posted fictitious ads or profiles on various social media platforms, and websites posing as prostitutes or those soliciting prostitutes.
