MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The Midland High tennis program has announced Thomas Heiting as their new head coach. Heiting is a Permian and Midland College alum and was also part of the 1989 Midland College National Championship team.
Heiting is returning to this position after leading the MHS tennis program for 17 years from 1992 to 2009. He took a coaching break and took on an administrative role, but is now ready to get back on the court.
"I'm looking forward to getting back out on the court working with the kids again and just staying active with them again. I mean there's so many positive rewards a person can get from coaching so I'm looking forward to that and going full speed," said Heiting.
Midland High is currently holding tryouts for their upcoming season.
