ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Odessa High's baseball team is heading into the regional quarterfinals for the first time since 2009. This year's Bronchos are looking to make history of their own and know that chemistry on and off the field is important for a team's success.

"We have a lot of chemistry this year. All of the guys are close and we all love each other. We're all brothers," said Gibrian Pena.

The Bronchos have an 18 man roster and within that majority of the guys have played together since they were younger.

"We've known each other since we've been like nine so that really helps a lot because we know how each other plays and we know how each other acts and we know how to get each other up and stuff when we're down," said Christian Baeza.

Heading into the third round of the playoffs, OHS is following their motto from day one.

"We have to win one pitch at a time," said Hurvey Nieto.

"If you're worried than you're not going to perform your best, so we just try to not worry and see what we can do," said Baeza.

The Bronchos take on Keller Timber Creek tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in Abilene for game one of this three game series.
