BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - After four Big Spring families lost their home in a wildfire, the community is stepping up to help.

The Big Spring Rotary Club held a burger bash fundraiser at Big Spring High School Wednesday with the hope of raising $40,000, $10,000 for each family.

"We've got 2,000 hotdogs and 2,000 hamburgers that we are trying to sell out of so we can offer some money in assistance to the four families that lost their house in the wildfire last Monday," said Michael Richardson, Big Spring Rotary Club.

Donations to the families are still being accepted at State National Bank in Big Spring or at the Big Spring Rotary Club.
