ODESSA, TX (KWES) - A driver was cited for failing to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle after he hit an Odessa Police Department car.
On May 11 at about 8:30 p.m., an OPD officer was traveling south on Grandview Ave. assisting another OPD officer who was in a foot pursuit when he was hit.
The driver of the other vehicle, Stevi Ortiz, 22, was going east on 8th St. when he failed to yield the right of way to the emergency vehicle and collided with it at the intersection of 8th St. and Grandview Ave.
The officer did have the lights and siren activated on the vehicle.
No injuries have been reported.
