SAN ANGELO, TX (KWES) -

San Angelo Police have apprehended a man who fled the scene of a traffic stop at 8:33 p.m. on May 10.

Edward Haur Crisp, Jr., 27 was taken into police custody in the morning of May 11. After he fled the traffic stop on Thursday, police obtained an arrest warrant for Crisp for Evading Detention with Vehicle.

Crisp was found this morning in the 100 block of East 33rd Street but fled when an officer tried to detain him. He was later seen jumping the fence of a residence in the 300 block of East 37th Street before crawling into the vacant home through the window.

Officers were able to enter the house and apprehend Crisp, who actively resisted the officers. He was transported to the Tom Green County Jail because of documented past violence. Crisp also has a court-ordered Emergency Protective order due to a recent family violence assault situation.

Crisp has been charged with Evading Arrest Detention, Evading Arrest Detention with Prior Conviction, and Resist Arrest Search or Transport.
