MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - This weekend one Midland neighborhood is getting turned into the epicenter of fun.
Saturday, May 12 marks the 4th annual Basin Bikefest.
The event benefits the Midland Children's Rehab Center.
Bike rides, a parade and a petting zoo are all on tap for this weekend.
Through all the fun and excitement, the center says the bike fest is a great opportunity to inform the community about the services they provide.
"If you don't have a child with a disability, you've probably never needed our services, so you don't know what we do. If you ever set foot in this place you'll be amazed at the miracles that happen here all the time," said Gail Heathington, Development Director, Midland Children's Rehab Center.
MCRC provides occupational, speech and physical therapy for children at no cost for families.
The kick-stands go up at 8:30 a.m. this Saturday at 802 Ventura Avenue in Midland.
If your child wants to participate it's $10 for children ages 3-14. It's free for children under two or those 14 and older.
