ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The City of Odessa received its May sales tax check on May 9.
The total of the check came out to $6,599,447.47. Included in the check is the Economic Development sales tax of one-fourth of a cent.
The City of Odessa will receive $5,279,557.98 from the check while the Odessa Development Corporation will receive $1,319,889.49.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for the 2017-2018 fiscal year is up by 63.11% compared to the budgeted amount expected, while the 2017-2018 year-to-date amount is up 48.13% from the previous year.
Currently the City of Odessa has budgeted $30,765,079 in net sales tax revenues for the current fiscal year.
