ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

The 26th Annual Stamp Out Hunger event is nearly underway. Local residents are encouraged to place a bag of food out by their mailbox for their letter carrier to return to the West Texas Food Bank.

Residents can use the Stamp Out Hunger Bags they receive in the mail this week or a bag of their own.

The WTFB is asking for nonperishable food items and would like to remind everyone not to donate anything in a glass container.

The National Association of Letter Carriers is excited to host the nation’s largest food drive on Saturday, the 26th year for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

If your bag is not picked up, you may take it to your local post office, bring it to the West Texas Food Bank, or the post-event food truck rally at the offices of Sims and Guess Realtors.
