The fire is now 100 percent contained, According to the Texas A&M Forest Service.

The fire south of Alpine is 75 percent contained at 87 acres.
UPDATE: 5/2 10:18 a.m.
The fire is 60 percent contained at 75 acres.
A fire south of Alpine has caused several people to evacuate their homes Tuesday afternoon, Marfa Public Radio is reporting.
According to Brewster County Sheriff's Office, the fire is in the Big Bend region off of Highway 118, officials believe it started near Mile High Rd. and Loma Del Norte.
You are asked to avoid the area.
According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the fire is now at 63 acres and zero percent contained.
