ANDREWS COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

A man is in custody after leading Andrews police on a pursuit Tuesday morning.

Glen Breckenridge, 41, is facing seven different charges.

Breckenridge drove a stolen dump truck from the City of Andrews and two officers began pursuit west on SH 176. More officers and sheriff's deputies also joined the pursuit.

After attempting to run the dump truck off the roadway, a police officer and Breckenridge collided.

Breckenridge continued to speed up, dragging the police car with the dump truck while heading towards oncoming vehicles.

Deputies shot at the truck in an attempt to stop it.

According to the city, Breckenridge then went into residential areas and finally came to a stop at the intersection of SW Main and Avenue I.

He was arrested and taken to Permian Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

His charges include theft of property, unauthorized use of vehicle, attempt to take a weapon from an officer and driving while intoxicated.

A bond has not been listed.
