MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The Autism SHARE Walk kicks off Saturday with bounce houses, informational booths, and food trucks at Grande Stadium, 8:30 a.m.
The 9th annual walk will raise money for services such as respite care, parent and sibling support services while celebrating being different.
For many years, the non-profit has served families of autistic and special-needs children in West Texas.
"Our families get connected with other special families and with the community so when everybody's there, they know we're not alone on this journey so that makes it really special that a community can come behind special families and support them and help them know they have their back," said Tom Jones, share executive director.
From 300 people the first year, the event planners are expecting 3,000 this time.
