Permian Basin represented in Golf Regional Tournament

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The high school Regional Golf Tournament began this week in Arlington. The boys got started yesterday and finished up their second round today while the girls will tee off for their first round tomorrow and finish on Thursday. There are a few teams and individuals representing the Permian Basin.

The Midland High and Midland Lee girls teams are looking to carry their momentum over from the district tournament to this week.

Also punching their tickets to Arlington, Odessa High's Hailey Cernoch and Permian's Emily Serrano both qualified for the tournament as individuals.

For boys golf, Lee's Paul Gomez teed off yesterday and finished today shooting an 82.

The top three teams and the top three individuals not on a qualifying team will earn a spot for sate. The girls first Regional round starts tomorrow at 8 am.
