MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - A group of therapy dogs visited Midland Memorial Hospital Tuesday afternoon.
The scheduled visit featured eight dogs, each trained and certified to provide therapy.
Tuesday's group featured eight dogs including a Great Dane, Boxer, two Border Collies and more.
The animals walked from room to room meeting with anyone who wanted to see them.
Hospital officials say they invite the therapy dogs one or two times a month to help patients cope with their hospital stays.
An owner of one of the therapy dogs, Ginger Causey, says it's an experience that is often rewarding on both ends.
"If you can make them happy and make them forget about their worries it's very enjoyable," says Causey.
