ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The Odessa Police Department is asking for your help locating a vial containing a potentially harmful chemical.
According to the department, an animal control officer was working at the animal shelter on April 19 when he misplaced the vial full of a chemical known as Fatal-Plus.
The chemical in the vial is used to euthanize animals.
The officer possibly left the vial on his vehicle and drove away before securing it. Although an extensive search was conducted, the vial has not been located.
Anyone who finds it is asked to call the Odessa Police Department so the chemical can be disposed of properly. Their number is (432) 333-3641.
