MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The present and future of the Midland Independent School District was discussed on Wednesday at the State of Education Luncheon.
Superintendent Orlando Riddick spoke about things like where the district is with technology learning and how they are planning to reach kids.
He also touched on the changes coming in the next school year with Sam Houston and San Jacinto. Even with all the changes, Riddick said there's still more room for the district to grow.
"When I think about where we are as an organization and the things we have to do, most certainly there's work we have to grow and build but I would tell you there are some spectacular areas of our school district and our school system that we need to capture and accelerate and there other areas we have to pull and get to where its performing," Riddick said.
The luncheon was hosted by the midland chamber of commerce.
