MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Several volunteer fire departments got together on April 14 for a fundraiser in Midland.
Crews and vehicles from the agencies piled into the parking lot of Fire House Subs, 2900 Loop 250 Frontage Rd. They met with the community and sold raffle tickets.
The first responders also promoted their upcoming "Bad Boy Blast Clay Shoot," which will be held May 18 and 19. Officials tell us the shooting competition and the raffle are two great ways to give back to the community.
"They depend on our donations and the support of the community to even operate and maintain their equipment even to buy tires. So, it's just really important that we support them because one day everyone will eventually need them," said Loretta Seghers, President of Bad Boy Blast.
There are still more than 200 open spots for the clay shoot. For more information on how to sign up, go here.
