CROCKETT COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Ozona Fire Department inform us that 4,123 acres have burned so far in the County Road 205 fire.
The result of this includes damages to various oil field poly lines and equipment. Power lines have also been damaged by the high winds.
Ozona Fire Department and Texas Forest Service are still on scene.
Ozona Fire Department is now responding to a compressor station on fire that is located near Hwy 190. This new fire is approximately five miles from the current fire on County Road 205.
As of approximately 9 p.m. last night, the County Road 205 fire was 80% contained.
They also warn that the high fire danger will continue through next Friday.
Please, avoid these areas and do not burn.
Ozona Fire Department have stated that the County Road 205 fire is 30% contained as of 4:30 p.m.
The Ozona Fire Department is responding to a fire on County Road 205 near Hwy 190, north of Ozona, in Crockett County.
We're told that responders are on scene to establish a fire break. Please, avoid the area.
Texas Forest Service is also on scene and a plane is being sent out to aid in extinguishing the fire, according to the fire department.
