MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The Midland Centennial Library celebrated their fifth birthday on Friday afternoon with a birthday party, including cupcakes, to celebrate.
Visitors also had the chance to do different activities and received a tote bag.
Midland County Judge Mike Bradford talked about the success of the branch and the renovations underway at the the downtown library.
"We're very pleased with the success of this library," Bradford said, "and today we're introducing and there's a floor plan behind me of the new downtown library which will open in the first part of November of this year."
The downtown library is currently shut down for renovations, but a bookmobile will be onsite downtown and the Centennial branch is open.
