MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The City of Midland is looking for volunteers for the Airport Disaster Drill at the Midland International Air & Space Port.
The city is required to practice their emergency response to an aircraft accident three times a year and volunteers are a big part of that effort.
From playing victims and family members to being greeters, members of the community have a chance to see what happens behind the scenes while lending a helping hand.
Volunteers will be transported to medical facilities, family reunification locations, and the terminal building before returning to the spaceport to end the exercise.
Lunch will be provided afterward and there will also be a raffle for prizes.
The event will take place on May 5 from 7 a.m. until noon. For more information and to sign up, click here.
