Midland RockHounds finish opening homestand 5-1

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

The Midland RockHounds finished up their first homestand of the season yesterday with a shutout win beating the Tulsa Drillers 5-0. During these six games, the 'Hounds finished 5-1 sweeping their first series against Springfield and winning the series with Tulsa 2-1.

The RockHounds hold a team batting average of .287 currently leading the league. In addition, Midland's pitching staff is tied for second in the Texas League South with a 3.67 ERA. 

The RockHounds currently sit in first place in the Texas League South and look to keep their momentum going as they travel to Springfield on Thursday for a three game series.
