UPTON COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

UPDATE: Upton County Sheriff's Office has arrested Daniel Ornelas.

According to the Upton County Sheriff's Office, they have an individual in custody after multiple reports of gunshots in different locations early Monday morning.

These were a separate incident and the Sheriff's office is still looking for Daniel Ornelas.

The communities of Upton County are not in any immediate threat at this time, but, everyone should be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity.

Upton County Sheriff's Office are still looking for Daniel Ornelas.

They state it is safe to go about your day as usual, however, if you do see Ornelas please do not make contact with him and call 911.

The Upton County Sheriffs Office is offering a Cash Reward for information leading to the arrest of Ornelas by calling the Upton County Sheriff's Office at (432) 693-2422.

According to a Facebook post, Upton County Sheriff's Office, they are working with the Department of Public Safety to locate a person of interest.

The Sheriff's office is asking everyone to remain in their homes until the matter is resolved,  and they are unsure if a weapon is involved.

McCamey Independent School District has canceled all classes for today.

Staff and students are *not* to report to school.
