Commissioners vote to hire Kentucky company to fix Ector Co. courthouse phone lines

(KWES) - After dealing with ongoing phone issues at the Ector County Courthouse, commissioners are moving forward with a solution for the problem.

With a four to one vote, commissioners hired a telecommunications company out of Kentucky with offices in Texas.

In the meantime, officials are planning a temporary fix that will allow outgoing calls by the end of the week.

Employees have gone without phone lines for nearly a month, leaving many without the ability to maintain basic communications.
