City of Midland releases 2017 crash assessment

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The City of Midland has released the annual crash assessment from the traffic operations division.

The report shows a 16 percent increase in crashes from 2016 to 2017, from 3,228 crashes to 3,755.

In 2017, the city had 18 deaths due to traffic accidents, 11 more than in 2016. According to the report, Loop 250 at Midkiff Road was the intersection with the highest number of crashes.
