Minor League Baseball will implement the Experimental Rule - Starting Extra Innings with a Runner on Base.

If a game goes into extra innings, each extra inning will start with a runner at second base. The runner placed on second will be the player in the batting order before the innings lead-off hitter. For example, if the number five hitter is leading off the inning the number four hitter will start at second base.

The RockHounds are looking forward to see how this rule will play out throughout the season.
