MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

Celebrating Champions of Education offered the Midland Community an opportunity to thank their educators, from daycare providers and food servers to college professors.

Samuel Gonzalez, director of recruitment for Key Energy Services, knows how hard educators work and was happy to take part in this event.

"They work so hard from August to June to educate our children this is our way of saying thank you," said Gonzalez.

Abell-Hanger Foundation and Educate Midland worked together to bring resources from the community to the classroom.

Their goal is to have strong, higher education across the community and ensure students get better jobs coming out of school.
