ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Odessa police will be cracking down on truck drivers who drive through city limits.
This week, the department sent out a reminder to everyone saying they will begin to enforce the truck driving ordinance.
The city says any truck that exceeds 10,000 pounds in weight, is a single unit with tandem axles, or is a truck, tractor, or semi-trailer combo cannot be driven in city limits.
The city says trucks need to use either Loop 338 or Interstate 20. However, if a truck has a destination in the city, then the driver would need to find the shortest route to get there, according to the city.
