MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

The Midland High girls golf team won the district title and qualified for the Regional Tournament. For the Lady Bulldogs, this was a big win and really showed what their team is all about.

"Just being a senior, I've been there the past four years. My freshman year I was pretty nervous. After you hit your first ball you get in the game mode and just get out there. Do the best you can and do it for your team. Coach told us to play the best we can just knowing that there's rain coming, so we put it all out there the first day and luckily we got the win," said senior Faith DeLaGarza.

"They're a special group of girls I really love them. They're like family to me and I don't know they're just, it's them they're great people," said freshman Anaya Prales.

"I'm just looking forward to having fun. We know that we have some tough competition, so we might not make it, but as long as we try our best and just enjoy the moment and have fun. With Faith leaving it's really sad knowing that she's not going to be there next year, so we want to try our best and make it fun for her,” said sophomore Mikayla Childers.

The regional tournament is scheduled for April 25th-26th in Arlington.
