MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Midland County has approved a burn ban, effective April 1.
According to Judge Mike Bradford, the ban was placed due to an "extreme lack of rain, higher than normal temperatures and dry vegetation."
The order does not prohibit outdoor cooking activities in approved containers or outdoor burning activities related to public health and safety.
The order will last through May 15.
