Odessa High's Janessa Ortega signs to continue playing volleyball

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Odessa High stand out volleyball player Janessa Ortega signed to continue her volleyball career and her education at Bruten Parker College in Mt. Vernon Georgia. Janessa is excited for what's to come and Odessa coach Victoria Smith hopes she'll continue what she started at OHS.

"To be able to sign for volleyball is a thing I love to do. To have my family supporting me by my side and it's an amazing opportunity," said Ortega.

"I hope and pray that she is as vocal as she was here. I know as a freshman it's a little hard, but I know she's truly a leader and I know she can be a leader over there just like she was here," said Coach Smith.
